Leigh has worked in the environmental sector for 28 years, initially in waste chemistry and chemical safety with the Environment Agency and in Environmental Consultancy before joining the waste industry as an environmental compliance advisor in 2006. Since then he has worked in all aspects of waste management from landfill to reuse and recycling. In 2021 he joined the FCC Environment Green Energy division to manage the environmental compliance of Energy from Waste facilities and has recently taken Eastcroft EfW successfully through FCC’s first BSC Five Star Environmental Audit. In his spare time he plays guitar and cello and is a trustee of Nottingham Bach Choir.
